  • Thanksgiving for successful back surgery for POBLO Texas Mission Director, Rev. Karim Baidaoui.
  • blessings on the groundbreaking for St. Peter, Roanoke on Sunday, December 6th for their first sanctuary.  The property is located at the intersection of Cleveland-Gibbs and Chadwick Parkway, just off Highway 114.
  • Deaconess interns, Ashley Forseth serving LINC North Texas, Marisela Casillas, Lorena Senaida Gaytan, and Perla Gil de Rodriguez serving LINC, Houston.
  • the study and call process as the Texas District ponders and prays over how Dr. Lou Jander, Area D MMF will be replaced.  Lou will be retiring at the end of March.  Pray a prayer of Thanksgiving for the ministry of Lou among us these past years.

  • Thanksgiving to the Lord for the official incorporation of LINC San Antonio on August 29, 2009
  • Crown of Life, Colleyville as they interview Mission Planter candidates for their new church plant in the next several weeks
  • Thanksgiving for the Area D M2C Missional Greenhouse Event and for the congregations who participated to follow up with concrete missional direction
  • Wisdom for King of Kings, San Antonio as they pray and consider beginning Hispanic ministry in their community
  • A special request from England: "It was back to church Sunday in England last Sunday.  Thanksgiving that God answered our prayers and that five people returned.  I ask for their protection and encouragement. Pray for our new minister Rev Pat Brown and strengthen, encourage and help him to discern Your will in building up the Kingdom of God in the community of Gt Harwood." from Elaine Frankland
  • Grace Community Lutheran, Pakistani and Rev. George Masih as they hold their first worship service this Sunday evening at their new location, Messiah Lutheran Church, Plano
  • a prayer of thanksgiving for LINC San Antonio's success in achieving non-profit status.
  • the Area D (Houston area) Missional Greenhouse igniter event scheduled for September 26th at St John, Cypress.  Pray that God would use this event to fuel new mission efforts in southeast Texas.
  • POBLO (People of the Book Lutheran Outreach) Texas as they pray, ponder and plan for expanded ministry in the Arlington area as well as interviewing missionary candidates (Fahdi, Samer and Hazim)
  • Zion, Walburg as they continue to pray over locations for planting a new congregation.
  • St. Paul, Ft. Worth/The Summit at Aledo, as a prayer team is currently involved in weekly prayer over their next Multi-Site Mission Location

  • For the work of Rev. Wichieng Wetnyangran, Pastor of African Immigrant Ministry at Peace, Hurst as he plants a worshiping community of African immigrants to the Tarrant County area that his ministry would reach many new people with the Gospel of Jesus.

  • For Living Water Lutheran Church, a new mission congregation in Richardson as they move their worship site to a new public elementary school in their area, that there new location will allow them to reach many new non-Christians and de-churched people in Richardson.

  • For Water's Edge, Frisco that the dedication of their first sanctuary and classroom building might be a real blessing as they already reach nearly 400 people each weekend.

  • For St. John, Cypress as they continue to the next step of securing a team to move towards a late '08 launch.

  • For LINC Houston as it continues in the process of transitioning the facilities at Beautiful Savior, Houston into a “Center for Urban Ministry.”

  • Prayer of thanks for the completion and dedication for the first unit at Water's Edge, Frisco.  Prayers that the use of the facility will enhance the mission's opportunities to connect more people to Jesus.
  • Prayers for the newly appointed  Board of Directors, LINC North Texas, that their decisions and guidance will be Spirit-led
  • Thanksgiving for 30 people in weekly Bible Study and praise at Redeemer Austin through the Hispanic mission outreach of Vicar Evelio Cruz.

  • for Oscar Benavides, Urban Mission Developer of LINC North Texas beginning his second full month of leading that mission - for wisdom and insight in seeing where LINC can have the greatest impact in building God's Kingdom.

  • for Rev. Juan Garcia and Rev. Jim Price, St. Mark (San Marcos), Waco as they team together to reach both English and Spanish speaking people of Waco - that men and women who might serve as leaders in the Spanish ministry might be raised up to come along side Pastor Juan so that mission might continue to grow.

  • The new "team" involved in the Mission Start of St. John, Cypress.
  • For the "Houston Vision Task Force" that is exploring ways to reach the city effectively.
  • All of our partners and missions as we celebrate Advent and Christmas.
  • for Rev. George Masih and All Nations Lutheran Church, Pakistani Urdu congregation in Dallas as they work to secure additional financial resources for their ministry and as they have new Pakistani contacts in Irving and Frisco.
  • for Point of Grace, Pflugerville as they do their 1000 Cokes give-away this Saturday as a servant evangelism effort.
  • for Pastor Jim Mueller and Austin City Church as they reach out to the Austin urban community through special worship services and concerts this Advent and Christmas season.
  • for the Coleman Youth Ministry at the skating rink in Coleman, Texas that more teens might be drawn to the manger during this season.
  • thanksgiving for Zion, Abilene's sponsorship of the Coleman Youth Ministry.
  • that Christ, Our Savior Lutheran in San Antonio might find a good way to cover its pastoral needs.
  • for Crown of Life, Colleyville and Mission Planter Jeff Pool as they continue pratice worship and organization of their launch team for the anticipated multi-site mission, Crown of Life, Keller-Southlake.
  • for leaders of LINC Houston, Rev. Mark Junkans and Rev. David Kim as they provide leadership and training for this multi-ethnic mission planting movement.
  • for Living Waters, Richardson and Pastor Jerry Nichols as they seek a full time mission planting pastor to lead this new chartered congregation.
  • for the first Ash Wednesday Spanish service at Redeemer, Austin being led by Vicar Evelio Cruz.
  • for the call process for two new Mission and Ministry Facilitators in Area A and C of the Texas District.

  • for Pastor Mekru Bekele and for Emmanuel Ethiopian Lutheran Church, Dallas.  Pastor Mekru was ordained and Emmanuel was chartered as a congregation of the Texas District, LC-MS on March 2.  Pray for the growth and health of this congregation, worshiping in the Amharic language.

  • for the call committee of University Lutheran Church, the campus congregation of UT, Austin as they prepare to issue a call for a new campus pastor.

  • for Rev. Steve Morfitt and El Calvario Lutheran Church, Brownsville that they might find new ways to share the Gospel with the Hispanic community there and that God would bless Steve as he leads the development of our Hispanic Training Center there.

  • for Rev. Larry Lieder and the mission of Holy Three-in-One Lutheran Church, Houston as they reach out to the deaf community with the Gospel there.

  • for the call process for two new Mission and Ministry Facilitators in Area A and C of the Texas District.  The call committee has been appointed and begins reviewing the nominees the week of March 9.

  • for Chris Holder, Urban Missionary for Youth at New Hope, Dallas (LINC North Texas) and for his wife Heather as they make preparations to adopt their foster daughter
  • for Leticia Price, Cristo Rompio Las Cadenas, Ft. Worth (LINC North Texas) as she completes her application process to serve her Deaconess Internship there
  • for Deacon Charles Cooper, Missionary and Licensed Lay Deacon at New Hope, Dallas (LINC North Texas) as he continues to lead the growth of that congregation

  • the 160 pastors, commissioned ministers and lay people from 54 congregatons who partcipated in the M2C Mission Partners' Retreat, May 6-8 and who are praying, pondering and planning for their involvement in planting one or more new missions.
  • Rev. Evelio Cruz who was ordained and installed as Hispanic Missionary at Large for the Austin area on May 18th at Redeemer, Austin and for his wife Ruby who became a U.S. Citizen on May 23rd
  • Rev. Karim Baidaoui and Kimberly Idrees as they work to plant Church of All Nations, Plano and for mission partners at Lord of Life, Plano (Rev. John Lindner, pastor) who host and support this mission to Muslims.
  • Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Carrollton as they are in the preparation stage for planting house churches as multi-sites of Prince of Peace (Rev. Luke Biggs, pastor and Terry Zuehsow, leading the planting effort)

 

  • Kimberly Idrees, POBLO - Texas Missionary beginning "Women of the Way" aimed at Muslim and other Ethnic women and their families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • Rev.Ken Mitschke and Word of Life Lutheran Church, Schertz as they continue to reach out to their community with the Gospel.
