The goal of
m2c is simply to honor Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection by
intentionally initiating 200 new Word and Sacrament ministries by the year
2017. This is an aggressive vision. Notwithstanding the effort of people of
faith to bring the Gospel to nations and to neighborhoods, this goal will not be realized
apart from the supernatural hand of the
Living God.
There is no
doubt that God would that all people come to faith in Jesus' work of
redemption and be saved. (1 Timothy 2:1-6) In this, the church must be
bold in knowledge of the Word, bold in witness to people and bold in prayer
before the throne of God.
Paul tells us
in Ephesians within the context of the spiritual battle we are in that we are to
"pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the
saints." Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)
